Bergen Tankers AS is a private, family owned company which operates out of Bergen, Norway.
Bergen Tankers AS is an established seaway transporting company carrying oil products in bulk within Northern Europe. The main trading area is along the Norwegian coast; supplying refined oil products and bunkers.
All the ships in our fleet are NOR-registered. This fact gives us an important competitive advantage because of the crews experience and unique skills in sailing and operating in the demanding waters and environment along the Norwegian coast and in the Arctic waters around Svalbard
Bergen Tankers has a high focus on environmental friendly solutions both for the present fleet and for future projects. In close cooperation with Statoil and the Norwegian "Business Sector's NOx Fund" our two ships, Bergen Star and Bergen Nordic have been equipped with technologic solutions which reduces NOx emissions with more than 90 percent. All of our ships run on light fuel oils and Bergen Tankers meet all governmental regulations regarding pollution prevention and emission to air, including the strict Sulphur emission regulations in force from 01.01.2010.
